Find the exact boarding point
Tea buses may depart from different stops even when the products sound similar. Save the full address and meeting instructions. Give yourself a buffer for unfamiliar streets and use nearby facilities before boarding.
Understand seating upgrades
Check whether the fare guarantees an upper-deck seat, a particular table or a private table. Do not assume all guests can move freely between decks during the trip. Ask about stairs and boarding assistance if these affect your choice.
Expect a sightseeing journey, not attraction entry
The views are from the bus. Passing a landmark does not include entering it or stopping for photographs. Tea buses are not a replacement for a hop-on hop-off pass if you want to explore individual attractions.
Leave room for London traffic
Routes and running times can be affected by road conditions and events. Avoid a tightly timed onward booking. If you have a train or show afterwards, leave a comfortable margin rather than relying on a headline tour duration.
